CLASSIC POUND CAKE

Magic ingredients

  • Butter – 100 grams
  • Sugar – 100 grams
  • Large eggs – 2
  • Vanilla Essence – 1 tsp
  • Flour – 100 grams
  • Baking powder – 1/4 tsp
  • Baking soda – 1/4 tsp
  • Salt – 1/8 tsp

Here’s how to make it

  • Start by creaming the butter and sugar in a mixing bowl
  • Once the mixture is light and fluffy, add the eggs and vanilla essence and whisk well
  • In a separate mixing bowl, mix flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt
  • After the eggs are incorporated well, add the flour mixture to the wet mixture and fold in the flour
  • Grease the cake tin and pour the batter into the tin
  • Bake at 180 degrees in a preheated oven for about 30 minutes
  • Your pound cake is ready to be devoured!!!!!

MUG CAKE!!!

MAGIC INGREDIENTS:-

  • Butter- 2 tbsp
  • Brown sugar/Granulated sugar – 2 tbsp
  • Egg – 1
  • Vanilla essence – 4-5 drops
  • Instant coffee powder – a pinch
  • Flour – 2 tbsp
  • Baking powder – a pinch
  • Baking soda – a pinch
  • Milk – for consistency
  • Chocolate chips/chopped – 2 tbsp
  • Cocoa powder – 1tbsp

Here’s how to make it…………..

  • In a cup, mix the butter and sugar vigorously, then add instant coffee powder and mix
  • Mix egg and vanilla essence separately, add to the cup and incorporate completely
  • Add the flour, baking soda, baking powder,cocoa powder and mix gently
  • Then add milk only if the the consistency is too thick and mix
  • Go ahead add the chocolate and give it a quick stir
  • Microwave for 45 seconds to 1 minute and your mug cake is ready
  • If you like airy and soft cakes, you will love this!!!

BROWNIEEEEEE

FUN FACT : BROWNIE ORIGINATED IN THE USA AROUND THE 19th CENTURY

Magic ingredients:

  • Flour – 1 cup
  • Cocoa powder – 1/2 cup
  • Chocolate – 200 grams (80 percent dark chocolate will work well)
  • Cocoa powder – 1/8 cup (Yes, We require 2 different measurements of cocoa powder)
  • Butter – 1 and 1/4 cup
  • Sugar – 2 cups
  • Dark brown sugar – 1/4 cup
  • Light brown sugar – 1/4 cup
  • Vanilla essence – 2 tsp
  • Salt – 1 tsp
  • Eggs – 6

Here is how to make these amazing brownies……….

  • Melt butter and add it to chocolate and 1/8th measurement of cocoa powder. Let the chocolate melt completely
  • In a different mixing bowl mix all the sugars, vanilla essence, salt and incorporate well
  • Then add eggs one by one and whisk it together until the batter almost doubles in size
  • Add chocolate mixture and whisk it together to make the batter thick and aerated
  • Sieve the flour and 1/2 cup measurement of cocoa into the egg mixture and fold it in (Mixing it too much will deflate the batter making the brownies dense)
  • Grease and line the baking tin and pour in the batter
  • Bake at 180 degree celcius for 20 t0 25 minutes (22 minutes for fudgy and 25 minutes for cakey)
  • After that demould the brownie, let it cool and the cut it into pieces
  • Like I always say enjoy it with a scoop of ice cream!!!!!!!!!

Chocolate Cake

I am back. I have come back with an amazing Chocolate Cake recipe.

Let’s dive right in!!!

Magic ingredients:

  • Dark Chocolate – 50 grams
  • Milk Compound – 50 grams
  • Unsalted Butter – 100 grams
  • Egg – 1
  • Castor Sugar – 100 grams
  • Flour – 60 grams
  • Baking Powder – 1.5 grams
  • Salt – 1 grams
  • Vanilla Essence – 1.5 ml
  • Chocolate Chips – 20 grams (Optional)

Here goes the recipe………….

  • Start by melting the butter and grated chocolate on a double boiler. You can use a whisk or a spoon to mix the butter and chocolate.
  • After the mixture cools down, add 1 big egg and whisk it together.
  • Put in the sugar and mix well.
  • Sieve the flour and baking powder into a separate mixing bowl and then add salt. (Fun Fact:The salt doesn’t go through the sieve)
  • Add flour mixture slowly to the chocolate mixture and incorporate the flour properly so that there are no lumps.
  • Preheat your oven for 5 minutes at 180°C
  • Grease the baking tin with butter.
  • Get experimental with the type of mould you are using. Experimenting is always fun. Isn’t it???
  • Pour in the batter and tap the mould on a flat surface to let the air bubbles out.
  • Oh, and also to straighten the surface of the batter in the mould.
  • Bake the cake for about 35 minutes at 180°C

Enjoy it with a scoop of Ice cream!!!!!!!!!

COOKIES

Want to thank someone? Well, bake some cookies!!!

Here is the secret recipe sshhhhhhhhhh…………

Magic ingredients:

  • Flour – 2 cups
  • Powdered sugar – 1/2 cup + 2 tablespoons
  • Ghee/Butter – 1/2 cup (ghee works wonders!!!)
  • Vanilla essencce – 1/2 – 1 teaspoon (depends on how strong of a flavour you want)

Let’s mould this into a cookie, shall we?

  • Take the ghee/butter (at room temperature) in a big mixing bowl and sift the powdered sugar
  • Mix until its creamy and soft
  • Add vanilla essence and blend it properly
  • Now sift the flour into the butter mixture and mix well until the mixture becomes a dough
  • DISCLAIMER : THE DOUGH HAS A CRUMBLY TEXTURE
  • Let the dough brood in the fridge for 20 – 30 minutes

Time to pop into the oven

  • Line the tray with wax paper or parchment paper
  • As texture of the dough is crumbly, make cookies using hand rather than a rolling pin and cookie cutter
  • Now pop it into the oven at 180 degree celcius for 20 – 25 minutes
  • Dont forget to keep an eye on the cookies
  • After the cookies are baked give them enough time to cool

The cookies are now perfect to be eaten!!Yaaaay!! Eat to your hearts content ……..gratitude can wait!!!
