CLASSIC POUND CAKE

Magic ingredients

  • Butter – 100 grams
  • Sugar – 100 grams
  • Large eggs – 2
  • Vanilla Essence – 1 tsp
  • Flour – 100 grams
  • Baking powder – 1/4 tsp
  • Baking soda – 1/4 tsp
  • Salt – 1/8 tsp

Here’s how to make it

  • Start by creaming the butter and sugar in a mixing bowl
  • Once the mixture is light and fluffy, add the eggs and vanilla essence and whisk well
  • In a separate mixing bowl, mix flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt
  • After the eggs are incorporated well, add the flour mixture to the wet mixture and fold in the flour
  • Grease the cake tin and pour the batter into the tin
  • Bake at 180 degrees in a preheated oven for about 30 minutes
  • Your pound cake is ready to be devoured!!!!!
